A journey that redefines

Have you ever taken a trip that changed everything? For myself, picking up the paintbrushes after decades of denial and self-doubt began a journey that has been both exciting and comforting in a difficult period. At first I dabbled, testing the possibilities using supplies that had been untouched for almost two decades. Then the ideas came flooding in and I simply had to see what I could do. The paintings began to accumulate. Gifts were made for dear friends and the paintings continued to stack up. Finally a decision was made to make my work available should anyone else find them interesting. And MistyLynnArt became a social handle and the tool I needed to go public. So now, friend, please enjoy what I have to offer and Thank You for accompanying me on this journey.

  • Misty Lynn Bankhead

Misty is an Ohioan living in the Dayton area. Painting became more of a regular hobby for her during the pandemic years. She had been admiring the local artists on display at the Yellow Cab community space and wishing to one day share her own creations. Her style is as varied as her taste, ranging from abstract to landscape with some whimsical imaginative pieces.

She is now a member of the Dayton Society of Artists and has shown paintings at multiple events and in local businesses.

Much of her art is influenced by nature, daily life and travel. However, some are directly related to music, inspired by lyrics or feelings. You can view one such commissioned work as the album cover art for the single, “Mont Blanc Massif” by the band We Met In Paris.
